New Edge Microbials specialises in the production of nitrogen fixing legume inoculants. Our products cover all major crop types grown from strains held by the Australian Inoculants Research Group (AIRG). New Edge Microbials also stands as the custodian of Rhizobium cultures for a number of smaller, specialised crops and pasture varieties. Our inoculants are a cost-effective way of converting atmospheric gaseous nitrogen into a form usable by plants. They are available in a range of forms.
NoduleN
Legume Inoculant —
Australia’s tried and
true Rhizobium legume
inoculant in peat.
NoduleN provides a complete environment to give your crop a head start. Peat contains high levels of humic materials that provide moisture and nutrients to help the Rhizobium bacteria establish. NoduleN is ready to apply – just add water and coat your legume seed (slurry inoculation). The NoduleN fine peat carrier improves the rate of Rhizobium bacteria survival.
All NoduleN inoculants are NSW Department of Agriculture recommended strains which have been selected for the most productive plant growth and “N” fixing capabilities.
NoduleN helping boost crop yield by:
- Increasing Rhizobia nodulation
- Enhancing dry matter and yield
- Assisting post crop soil nitrate
- AIRG tested and approved
- Proudly 100% Australian
EasyRhiz
Legume Inoculant —
Freeze-dried water-soluble
legume inoculant.
EasyRhiz is a freeze-dried vial of concentrated inoculant that allows farmers to put Rhizobium microbes right where they are needed. It is ideally suited for liquid injection systems and/or traditional slurry inoculation methods.
EasyRhiz is a convenient formulation of legume inoculant that is easy to transport, mixes well with water, stays in suspension and passes through the finest spray nozzles.
EasyRhiz helping boost crop yield by:
- Increasing Rhizobia nodulation
- Enhancing dry matter and yield
- Assisting post crop soil nitrate
- AIRG tested and approved
- Proudly 100% Australian
LiquiRhiz
Legume Inoculant —
Liquid inoculant for
soybean growers.
Containing Bradyrhizobium sp. specifically for its symbiotic benefit and efficiency of fixing nitrogen in soybean crops, Liquid Soybean Inoculant can fix as much at 300kg/ha of Nitrogen.
The significantly higher concentration of Rhizobium available in Liquid Soybean Inoculant, ensures the root infection following seed germination – achieves superior early nodulation.
Soybean Liquid Inoculant can be applied either to seed or applied directly via “liquid injection” to the soil in the seeding furrow.
Liquid Soybean Inoculant advantages:
- High load of Rhizobium for effective nitrogen fixation
- Minimum concentration of microorganisms of 5×109
- Convenient, no mess formulation for use on seed or in a liquid system
Plant Nutrient Uptake —
NEM produce a number of beneficial microbial strains for a variety of applications related to improving plant nutrient uptake.
Interest in biological farming techniques is becoming mainstream in Australian agriculture as producers search for methods to reduce their reliance on traditional chemical and fertiliser applications.
Our microbial library continues to grow, and we encourage farmers to engage with our team to develop the best approach to suit their specific farming system.
Specific strain isolates include:
- Bacillus
- Trichoderma
- Azospirillum
- Pseudomonas
- Streptomyces
Environmental —
Bioremediation is the
use of microorganisms
to degrade undesirable
contaminants.
These contaminants can be found in soil, sludge, effluent, ground or surface water. Our products return these substrates to an environmentally acceptable state.
New Edge Microbials produce a range of microbial cultures for the bioremediation of industrial, agriculture and aquaculture waste streams. Our ongoing research and cooperation with leading microbiological companies and universities around the world has resulted in a range of products with specific applications to treat various waste materials within these industries.
The strains of microbes present in our waste treatment products are carefully selected and are among nature’s most powerful and useful degraders. The addition of specific microbes of known degradation capabilities offers a range of benefits that will:
– Target specific undesirable compounds
– Accelerate the contaminant removal process
– Enhance the overall biotreatment processes
New Edge Microbial products are produced as either freeze-dried vials, concentrated pastes or liquid cultures. All products are tested for viability and the absence of pathogenic organisms before release. Importantly, all strains are naturally occurring and do not harm human, animal, plant or marine life and are safe to use in any type of bioremediation processes.
New Edge Microbials standard product range covers many organic contaminants; however, by their nature, some industrial waste streams are site specific and therefore require a tailored culture and treatment system for optimal biological degradation. We work with customers to undertake site-specific assessments to determine the types and optimum number of microbes and the most effective application system.
